The Begining

This is the first time I decided to try my hand at writing a blog. This blog is dedicated to my Grandmother. I always called her Mama( pronounced Mam Ah). Mama was from Georgia and boy could she cook. She is my inspiration whenever I cook. I love the the old Southern style cooking and I will try to share as much as I have learned with ya’ll as possible.

I have known many great cooks in my life and I have learned alot from all of them.

Living down here in Southern Maryland has allowed me to get my produce straight from the farm. I even get my eggs right at the chicken coop. Boy does freshness really matter. My dishes have had a much better taste and texture with all fresh ingredients. So if you can get to a farmers market thats the best place to get your produce and any meats and dairy products that they may sell.
