Crock Pot Chili

With being under yet another BLIZZARD warning today I decided to rework my Crock Pot Chili recipe. I wanted to kick it up a notch but not to much. I hope ya’ll give this recipe a try and let me hear some feed back from you.

My Crock Pot Chili:

2 pounds coarsely ground beef or ground sirloin ( I prefer ground sirloin)

1 cup chopped onion

1 seeded and chopped medium size hot pepper

2 (15 oz.) cans red kidney beans, drained

2 (14 1/2 oz.) cans tomatoes, drained

1 red pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped

2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed

2 to 3 tbsp. chili powder

1 tsp. black pepper

1 tsp. ground cumin

salt, to taste

Preparation:In a large skillet, brown ground beef with the chopped onion. Put the ground beef, onions, and other ingredients in a 3 1/2 to 5-quart slow cooker. Stir well. Cover and cook on low for 9 to 11 hours.Or on high for 5 to 7 hours.
