Canning Season 2015

It is canning season again and in a few days I will be in full swing prepping the veggies and fruits for canning. This year I am going to can twice as many tomatoes and green beans because I ran out of both by January. I am also going to be making Dill Pickles for the first time in years. I am going to be freezing Zucchini,Acorn Squash,Patty Pan Squash,Butternut Squash.
I am going to can potatoes,carrots, pinto beans, Lima beans, BBQ sauce, Chili Sauce more pickled red cabbage, beets.
I will be canning strawberry, peach, pineapple, blueberry, watermelon, cantaloupe jams. Applebutter and applesauce.
This is a very busy time in the kitchen but it is so worth doing because I know exactly what is in the foods I can and I know it is far healthier and tastier than anything I could possibly buy at the grocery store.
